Both our founder, Lisa Haywood, and Consultant, Lee Stutt have been ranked in the quarterly TBD Marketing Legal LinkedInfluencers List of lawyers working in independent law firms. That allows Stutt Associates to continue with a 100% ranking record for every lawyer, every quarter, since we launched.
The list celebrates lawyers using business social media platform LinkedIn to market their personal brands. The brainchild behind the list, Simon Marshall, is very vocal about the benefits of the platform for both raising the profile of smaller law firms that wouldn't have the budget to have the same clout in the market outside of social media. He is very supportive of lawyers at all stages using their voice however it feels most comfortable to talk about not only their own experiences and services, but also the wider issues that affect the legal sector.
Lisa has talked openly on LinkedIn about her own experiences, professionally and personally, of parenting while founding a firm, how women are treated in a workplace before and after birth and violence against women and girls. Lee brings technical expertise to various legal issues through musical references and everyday observations with humour.
Lisa was again ranked 4th in the list of 100 lawyers for Q1 2026. Lee makes his first appearance on the list at number 26 - a huge achievement for someone who didn't even use LinkedIn a year ago. This is a huge achievement for them both, particularly as there is only one other listed firm with more employees who make the list (with 3) and they have 21 employees overall. This makes Stutt Associates not only the sole Cornish firm (and Lisa and Lee the only Cornish lawyers) on the list, but also the second most influential independent law firm in the UK.
The list of couched in terms of 'influence', but it isn't about vanity. This is a platform we enjoy using to bring our services to market in a relatable way, show what it is like to work with us and our lawyers and to contribute to bettering the legal sector for the benefit of the next generation. It's a community we are very proud to be part of.
There is a report which introduces the lists for the quarter, that you can read here if you'd like more information.
