It's almost unbelievable, but we have won an office for the year!
We entered a competition at the end of last year with Cornwall Innovation Centres and Business Cornwall. The process was involved, with detailed plans and a fully articulated business plan being submitted and scrutinised before a panel interview in front of 4 people. Lisa had to attend remotely as it just happened to be on the day she was at Parliament hobnobbing with MPs as part of the prize for the West Country Women Awards The Start-Up Business of the Year award we won last year!
We are delighted to win this prize, which includes a rent-free office for two for an entire year at Tremough Innovation Centre (part of the Exeter University site at Tremough, Penryn) and a whole year of business coaching and mentoring by the amazing Rebecca Loto (she of Boldly Brilliant fame).
This is a really important upgrade for us, which will allow for the next phase of growth in our business to a scaled up law firm with extra capacity for new clients and larger disputes. It has come at a really great time for us, after Lee Stutt joined and extended the breadth of disputes we can cover for our clients. He has hit the ground running and is a valuable member of the team, particularly for our commercial landlords and tenants, which is a service that has been hard to find in the County over the last couple of years.
We are now settled in and are already welcoming clients and contacts to visit us. There is plenty of parking, including for bikes and motorcycles (Lee has already tried out both of those) and another 66 innovative businesses all within the same building.
